Snowmobile Trail Report

Trail Report Wed March 9, 2010

True story..The riding is still very good east, north and west of The Birches. The trails to Chesuncook from The Birches are very good and the ride to the trains is still very good. It has been very cold at night and the riding is good during the days. We are holding our snow. Below is a picture of the Steam Engines on Eagle Lake(a 75 mile day ride from The Birches) taken this past weekend.

All trails in the Rockwood area RT 66 and ITS 88 were groomed Monday and will be groomed again Wed night this week.. Riding is very good to excellent from Rockwood west, east and north. There is a three mile section of ITS 88 that is plowed from Jackman toward Rockwood. Get it while you can.

The Birches does guided day trips which head out for untracked areas with powder and frozen lakes with powder. There is some great off track riding all around Moosehead Lake. Get a guide for a day and find out.

We have lodging availability along with the restaurant, lounge and gas @ The Birches Resort.

Stay in Control, Ride Responsibly and stay Safe!
