The Birches Scenic Moose Safaris leave from our marina and venture up Moosehead Lake in float boats to a beautiful stream and then quietly ventures through the stream to see moose in their native habitat. These pleasant trips offer a great way to cool off on the water during a hot summer day!

Changes to our trips this year: The Morning Moose Safaris will now only be offered at 7 AM. This trip lasts from 2-2 1/4 hours. Scenic Moose Safaris are now offered in the evening. Expanding upon the basic Moose Cruise trip, Scenic Moose Safaris depart our marina at 4 PM, venture through the stream in search of moose and other wildlife, concluding with a pass by beautiful Mount Kineo with its 800' tall cliffs. An excellent sight seeing eco trip from start to finish, where you get to learn about the area's natural wonders. Non-alcoholic beverages are offered and guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. There is an Evening Scenic Moose Safari & Dinner Combo available, which includes dinner at The Birches Restaurant. Always call ahead for reservations!
