Located a short half mile away from The Birches main lodge, the Mahan Cabin resides on Fire Lane #1 South and is set back 80' from the shoreline on Moosehead Lake. This is a beautiful cabin with an open floor plan and loft. The first floor has a living area, kitchen and dining room combination. The dining area has a vaulted ceiling and faces the water...boasting spectacular views of Moosehead Lake, Mount Kineo and other mountains.

The full kitchen has a side-by-side refrigerator, self-cleaning oven, coffee maker, microwave and stainless steel sink. It also includes a fully-stocked spice cabinet! The full bathroom is accessible via the kitchen or living areas. The bedroom resides on the second floor loft and includes two double beds and a small closet. There are two skylights and two windows in the loft for ventilation. The unfinished basement has one double bed and a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on the top. The unfinished basement also includes a bathroom, ping pong table and dartboard. There is a woodstove and a heat monitor for heat.
